editing files in sublimetext from git bash

SublimeText is my editor of choice. I'm frequently in Git Bash, but wanting to edit files. Perhaps there's an easier way to do this, but a trick I learned a long time ago is to create a shell script inside of the Git shell directory in order to give me a shortcut for launching files in SublimeText.

I create a file called "subl" in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Git\bin with the following contents:

#!/bin/sh
"C:\Program Files\Sublime Text 2\sublime_text.exe" $1 &

Like so:

Now from Bash you can run:

$ subl YourFile.txt

And it will launch the file SublimeText for you.

It's the little things.....
